Chad Minor

Born and raised in Thousand Oaks, Chad began training for his career in aviation at Channel Islands in 1992. He received his degree from Cal State Northridge in Journalism. He continued on and attained his instructor ratings and began teaching others how to fly. His passion for education and instructing allowed him to work as the Flight Standards check airman and examiner at an academy in Florida. His flying aspirations then took him to the airlines, flying for a Delta Connection airline based out of Cincinnati in the CRJ-700/900. As times changed in the industry, he accepted a corporate pilot job in Van Nuys flying a LearJet55 which enabled him to expand his horizons and also move back home with his family. Chad's flying principles have been to constantly better himself, turn weaknesses into strengths and use his certificates as "licenses to learn." In 2010 Chad returned to Channel Islands Aviation and began teaching at the place he first learned to fly.
